Master talk with Tamar Frank
11 January, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
The second Master Talk of the Apprentice Master season 2017/2018 will take place on Thursday 11 January 2018. Prior to the opening of the third exhibition of the series later that evening, master Tamar Frank will go into conversation with a moderator about her work. The talk will be in Dutch. The mastertalk is free; entry for the museum is not included.
After the mastertalk, the exhibition #AMP3: Spatial Perspectives will be opening at Kunstpodium T at 20.00. You are welcome to attend both the master talk and the opening.
Tamar Frank (1974) works with light, space and the process of visual perception. Here she responds to existing spaces and environments looking at elements that are specific to the location. With minimal changes she relays focus and concentration redefining and analyzing the visual world. She tries to capture a source that creates a heightened sense on how we see and how this affects us. The spectator plays an active role in discovering the work as it reveals itself. Sensing the space and how light influences our orientation is part of the process that brings the viewer to a new visual awareness.
