On Sunday 22 August we end our Artsy Summer Days in style! We bring back our artist cocktails, put on our dancing shoes and close our festival with some musical entertainment! Our doors are open from 13.00 and you can visit the exhibition Those Are the Days. In the afternoon, music talent Isabel plays her sultry songs for us, followed by an artsy and cheeky silent disco by Mardulier & Deprez. In the evening we continue the party with live music by Susurrous and a second round of silent disco. All with a special artist cocktail in hand!
Sounds good, when can I come?
You can walk in whenever you like between 13.00 and 21.30. The party ends at 22.00. Want to come for a special act? Then you can see when they will perform live below.
Do I need to preregister?
Preferably yes. You can easily do this by mailing to email@example.com. But you can also drop by unannounced: then we ask you to fill in a registration form (digitally or on paper).
And what if it’s going to rain?
Luckily we have a plan B! If the sky gods let their tears flow onto the earth, we will move our party indoors. Susurrous, Isabel and Mardulier&Deprez will continue the party in our exhibition spaces and bar with us, all high and dry!
Will you take care of refreshments?
Our bar is open and you can pay by card or cash. Next to the standard drinks like beer, wine and many sodas, we have special artist cocktails, also alcohol-free. One of them is the exclusive Kunstpodium T Special, especially made for the Artsy Summer Days. Curious? There is a limited amount so come score a cocktail! There is a dinner break in our program so you can get a meal from one of the many great restaurants in the area, and return with a full stomach to enjoy our evening program!
Uh, what about corona?
Of course we take all the precautions to ensure this event will go as safely as possible. We have assigned routing, ask you to disinfect your hands upon entry and register our visitors. Even though face masks in indoor rooms are no longer necessary, you are free to wear one if you are more comfortable with this. Our volunteers are all ensuring that the 1.5m distance is complied with and everybody contributes to a fun and safe space.
Okay, now I know enough practical things. What acts can I get to see this day?
We have invited great young acts from Tilburg for this festive finissage. We proudly present:
ISABEL • 15.00 – 15.45
When you look at Isabel’s ginger hair and freckles, you wouldn’t think that this young woman has already made so many musical steps with her twenty two years young. She sang a duet with Pascal Jacobsen (Bløf) at Concert At Sea, sang at Radio 538 King’s Day and flew to Athens to sing with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2014 she participated in The Voice Kids and in 2017 in The Voice; in both programs she came second. After this TV-spectacle she made big progress with her band by performing at Bevrijdingsfestival, Vestrock and Klomppop. In 2021 she’s taking new steps: to go deep with her music, her own music. Her mellow R&B pop music is influenced by Pip Millett, Jhené Aiko and Jorja Smith. Her latest singles “Heartbeat”, “Just Like This” and “Good Love” are available on Spotify and have been streamed over 160,000 times. In the summer of 2021 she released her debut EP “Flowerchild”. On here, she talks about personal stories that happened to her as a young woman. To feel and not to feel good enough, to find and to lose people, to find and to lose love. Flowerchild is about growth. Just like a flower bulb that can blossom into the most beautiful flower, Flowerchild is dedicated to all the things she has gone through and have helped her grow into the most beautiful version of herself. ISABEL will present her debut EP on 17 December 2021 in Paradiso Amsterdam.

SUSURROUS • 19.00 – 20.00
Susurrous is the musical project of the Tilburgian multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter and producer Lennard Vaarten. Over the previous years he has released songs in all sorts of styles, from indie rock to funky house to overcomposed Beach Boys-esque pop – and everything in between. In this set during Artsy Summer Days he brings the electronic side of his repertoire to life.

MARDULIER & DEPREZ: NEED FOR SPEED: SILENT DISCO • 16.00 – 17.00 & 20.30 – 21.30
Artist duo Mardulier & Deprez will present their project Need for Speed: a silent disco, where hits from the eighties and nineties are being played on two channels, accompanied by their music videos. Ruben Mardulier en Michiel Deprez work together since 2015 as artist duo under the name “Mardulier and Deprez”. They graduated from the academy of performing and circus arts in Tilburg. Their work covers a broad spectrum from video to performance, from smartphone poetry to aerobics on the rhythm of their own heats. In June 2021 Mardulier & Deprez were also guests at Kunstpodium T for a work period and open studio day.
