Th 11 – Su 28 January 2018 /
What is the first thing you do when you enter a space? You might look around, listen, touch the walls, feel the warmth of a radiator, smell the fresh paint. Can you just experience what is there without judgement or expectation? You might think the space is empty but is it really? You can perceive the space when there is light but have no sense of depth in darkness. We have preconceived ideas of what we observe and give it meaning. When the familiar parameters are gone there is no choice but to adapt our orientation. Space is more than the walls it is bound by. It connects to the world outside through the windows. Inside and outside can become ambiguous. We define it by our physical self and our point of perspective. In the end the space is in our head.
